The FlavorCell encapsulation system is a proprietary process developed to encapsulate liquid and solid flavoring materials. Embedded within a protective matrix, the flavors deliver maximum impact while remaining secure from heat and moisture.
FlavorCell also reduces the oxidation and volatility of products, thereby extending shelf life, according to the firm. Through custom size, shape, color and matrix material design, flavor delivery can be tailored to solve specific flavor challenges for customers in cereal, food bars, bakery products, crackers, beverages and confectionery.
“FlavorCell’s flavor delivery platforms offer several functionalities, providing product developers with differentiating tools to deliver superior flavor across a wide range of applications,” said Suzanne Johnson, director of flavor and applications, in a statement.
The new line is located in one of the McCormick facilities in Hunt Valley, Md.
