The creative center is located on an existing IFF site that has been rebuilt to double its footprint to 1,500m2, and will primarily support customers in Indonesia, where IFF has maintained a presence for nearly 60 years.
The new 300m2, site in Santiago - IFF’s first in Chile - comprises sales offices and applications laboratories designed to meet growing demand for flavors in the country.
IFF CEO Andreas Fibig said: “These facilities support our global strategic initiative to grow business in fast-emerging markets... Further, close proximity to our customers allows us to combine our global expertise with local consumer understanding to create unique and authentic flavor solutions. The new facilities in Indonesia and Chile underscore our commitment as a leading global partner to generate value for our flavors customers around the world.”
IFF has made several large investments in emerging markets in recent years including an additional investment in Indonesia to build a manufacturing facility near the new creative center, and the construction of a new flavors creative center and expansion of its manufacturing site in Gebze, Turkey.
It also opened a new flavors manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, China; a liquid flavors and fragrances manufacturing facility in Singapore; plus new creative and technical facilities in Delhi, India; Guangzhou, Beijing and Chengdu, China; and in Dubai, UAE.
