Will the FDA define 'natural'? (Don't hold your breath, say lawyers)
While the FDA surprised everyone last year with its calls for comments on 'natural' claims, that doesn't mean it's definitely going to come up with a definition, said attorneys Jason Sapsin and Ivan Wasserman, who predicted it could still end up in the 'too difficult' box during an education session Wednesday. "This is truly a no-win situation for the FDA."
Sapsin is an attorney in Faegre Baker Daniels' food regulatory and litigation practice, while Wasserman is a partner at the DC office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP.
