Crispy Green uses cartoon mascot to help kids eat healthy lunches
The maker of freeze dried Crispy Fruit Snacks, Crispy Green, introduces Chris B. Green and sidekick Chirp as their new spokes-cartoons to raise awareness and school lunch penetration. The company opted for the cartoons after a Pediatrics study found 239% more students lined up at the salad bar when it was decorated with cartoon characters and colorful banners. The brand also signed on with the Power Your Lunchbox campaign from Produce for Kids, which offers healthy lunchbox ideas and coupons. It also will donate $1 to Feeding America for every Power Your Lunchbox Pledge, in which participants promise to eat a healthier lunch this school year.
