Campbell Soup appoints VP for industry relations

Campbell Soup Company has appointed a new vice president of business development and industry relations to replace Richard Smith who is due to retire following a 37-year career with the company.

Keith Olscamp, 52, has been named as Smith’s successor and the two are expected to work closely together in the coming months to “ensure a seamless transition of key customer, industry and other business relationships”.

Olscamp will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with its customers’ senior executives as well as a representative to major food retailing and manufacturing industry associations, including Grocery Manufacturers Association.

Olscamp joined Campbell in 1979 and was recently vice president of retail and broker sales operations.

Campbell president of global sales, Archbold van Beuren, said: “He has a keen understanding of the industry landscape and the importance of balancing the needs of retailers and manufacturers, as well as the industry at large.”
