The gum, mints and candy maker – now part of the Mars candy empire – is relocating its global headquarters to Goose Island, which houses a $57m global innovation center and engineering technology and IT centers, providing Wrigley with 360,000 square feet of office and lab space.
Wrigley also leases office space at 600 West Chicago, which is home to its North America business.
The Wrigley Building is currently home to a quarter of the company’s nearly 1,000 Chicago-based staff.
Chief financial officer Reuben Gamoran said: “By consolidating all global functions on our Goose Island campus, we will create an open office environment that supports the innovation, collaboration and creativity that will drive our continued growth.”
Following the move, Wrigley will seek new development opportunities for the Wrigley Building, which was built in the 1920s.
