Savoury Systems International expands NJ facility

Savory flavors expert Savoury Systems International (SSI) has added nearly 13,000 square feet to its warehouse in Branchburg, New Jersey.

The new space, next to the company's headquarters, will allow for three new loading docks, kosher and non-kosher product storage, plus extra office space, said the firm, which was founded in 1997 by Dave Adams.

SSI, which specializes in yeast extracts, has developed a wide range of yeast-based salt replacers and organic savory flavors, plus a proprietary range of ‘Meat Plus+’ flavors, which combine meat products such as broth powder, extracts, or fats, with yeast extracts and HVPs.  

It also works with clients to formulate customized blends at its in-house flavor laboratory.
