The New Jersey-based firm, which is on a mission to become “the leading health and wellness company building out and acquiring natural brands”, said the new name would better reflect its “recent transformation to a company with multiple brands”.
The company's shares will be traded under the symbol ‘BDBD’, while its primary corporate offices will move to Boulder, Colorado, this summer.
Boulder Brands, which snapped up gluten-free expert Udi’s Health Foods last summer in a $125m deal, also owns the Smart Balance, Glutino, Earth Balance and Best Life brands.
Company offices in Denver and Niwot will be consolidated in Boulder, along with the relocation of a handful of out-of-state employees, while employees based at the Paramus office in New Jersey will remain in place, said the firm.
