ALDI introduces ‘Specially Selected’ gourmet private label brand to US stores

ALDI is introducing its premium private label range ‘Specially Selected’ to US stores after it proved a big hit in Europe.

The range - which includes specialty products from German coffees and gourmet pastas to premium meats and cheeses - has won several awards in Europe.

ALDI Inc president Chuck Youngstrom said: “Each Specially Selected product was developed with exceptional taste at an excellent value – helping to meet our customers' increasing demand for premium, quality food at affordable prices."  

ALDI, which is a major player in the European retail market, is expanding rapidly in the US, opening between 50 and 80 new stores every year.

It now operates more than 1,200 stores in 32 US states.
