Sleeker and with cleaner lines, the 500ml bottle has a ‘label-less’ look with a “simplified, elegant reduction of the previous logo design”.
The bottles simple shape and bevelled mountain ridges evoke the “simplicity and regality” of the water’s source in the French Alps at Evian-Les-Bains (it has been bottled from there since 1826), the brand claims.
‘Vibe and skin had become dated’
Eric O’Toole, presidents of Danone Waters North America, said: “We’re very excited. Our new bottle allows Evian’s honest and natural personality to make a new connection with consumers.
“Evian has been the icon of the category for three decades, yet its vibe and skin had become dated,” he added.
“We wanted to remake the brand so consumers would be proud to once again call it their favorite water. It’s a sharp new look, and we can’t wait to see it here, there, and everywhere.” O’Toole said.
Smaller bottle formats will follow in the coming months.
