IFF opens Midwest facility to enhance collaboration and build ‘greater customer intimacy’
The facility in Schaumberg houses a culinary center and state-of-the-art application and flavor creation laboratories, and increases the company’s application and technical footprint. It is staffed with culinary, flavorist and product application teams closely linked to IFF’s regional and global R&D sites.
Andreas Fibig, IFF CEO said: “Providing excellent support to our customers that allows for greater collaboration and increased speed-to-market is a priority for us.
“As the new office expands our coverage in the region, it simultaneously provides customers with local culinary, applications and flavors expertise along with access to our regional and global resources.”
“[W]ith the opening of this new facility, we can offer our customers a differentiated service model geared towards enhancing collaboration and building greater customer intimacy,” said Matthias Haeni, Group President, Flavors. “This site is centrally located to many key customers in the Midwest region of the United States, and allows us to partner more closely with them to collaboratively build healthier taste solutions that help differentiate their brands.”
IFF has made several large investments in emerging markets in recent years including investing in Indonesia, the construction of a new flavors creative center and expansion of its manufacturing site in Gebze, Turkey, and new sales office and applications labs in Chile.
It also opened a new flavors manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, China; a liquid flavors and fragrances manufacturing facility in Singapore; plus new creative and technical facilities in Delhi, India; Guangzhou, Beijing and Chengdu, China; and in Dubai, UAE.
