Ka-pow! General Mills and Warner Bros bring Batman v Superman to cereal aisle

General Mills has teamed up with Warner Bros to bring Batman and Superman to US cereal aisles.

This business has started rolling out two new cereals – one Superman and one Batman – to tie in with upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is released on March 25. They officially launch at the Wizard World Comic Con in New Orleans later this week (January 8 to 10).

The Superman Caramel Crunch pieces are shaped like the Superman shield, and the pieces in Batman Chocolate Strawberry modeled after the Batman emblem.

Each hero gets their own cereal

We spent extensive time and effort to develop the flavors and look of these cereals, and their packaging, so that they will match the quality of the characters they feature,” said Alan Cunningham, senior marketing manager for Cereal Innovation at General Mills.

Superman and Batman continue to appeal to the generations of fans that have enjoyed them for decades, as well as new Super Hero fans experiencing them for the first time,” he added.

General Mills is also rolling out new products tied in with Disney’s Star Wars franchise. As sequel The Force Awakens is breaking box office records, US shoppers can pick up exclusive glow-in-the-dark Star Wars decals in specially marked boxes of Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Multi-Grain Cheerios and Cookie Crisp.
