Admix to reveal meat processing arsenal at IPPE

Equipment manufacturer Admix will unveil its innovative portfolio of meat and poultry equipment mixing machines at the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta, US, on 26 January.

The new product range is designed exclusively for meat and poultry processors and includes a power feed dispersion system and a high-shear mixing device.

US-based Admix operates across the food and drinks, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries and supplies companies within the sectors with high-performance mixing equipment.

The Rotosolver RXRS is the first piece of kit Admix will unveil at IPPE. This is a high-shear mixer which can completely wet and distribute ingredients that are difficult to hydrate, such as starches and proteins. Due to its high velocity speed and big mixing head, powder-based formulas can be completely mixed in under 10 minutes.

Designed to solve issues

Use of the high-shear mixer can also help to reduce operating costs, boost process results and cut energy consumption, say Admix.

In 2016, Admix is focusing on several products designed to solve key issues within the meat and poultry industry,” said senior vice-president Pete Leitner.

All our products are constructed of stainless steel and meet stringent 3-A compliance and clean-in-place standards, standing up in the toughest washdown environments. Our broad experience in mixing diverse ingredients – like salts, phosphates, spices, soyas, starches, and honey – means that processors enjoy the highest rate of ingredient functionality for every batch.

Innovate the market

Complementing the Rotosolver are two new feed systems: the Admix Fastfeed and the OptiFeed EZ.

The Fastfeed is a powder feed and dispersion system that can work with high-viscosity products to ensure tough ingredients are mixed quickly and economically. It can also deliver powder at rates of up to 160lb per minute.

And due to its single-pass dispersion, the Fastfeed reduces air entrainment – the creation of tiny air bubbles in liquid. Other benefits include reduced ingredients cost and a lower injury risk.

Complementing the Fastfeed is the OptiFeed EZ. This has an optimised feed rate for powder, as well as a process speed of between 50lb to 200lb.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Admix continues to innovate in this market and our mantra has become ‘our lab is your lab’, thanks to our 5,000sq ft pilot test lab where we work across all types of ingredients, applications and processes,”added Leitner.
