What are the top three beverage flavor trends in 2017?
Turmeric, coconut and 'hot & spicy,' are the top trending beverage flavors as we head into 2017, according to Louisville-based beverage development company, Flavorman.

Turmeric (the ‘new ginger’): Known for its golden color, aromatic flavor and health benefits, turmeric is Flavorman’s top trending beverage flavor for 2017:  “Turmeric is usually found in teas such as cold and flu fighting apple green tea, and cleansing smoothies like carrot, beet and turmeric.”

Coconut: “This exquisite flavor has a subtle sweetness with undertones of butterscotch and caramel,” says Flavorman. “It provides a nutritious source of meat, juice, milk and oil.”

Hot and spicy flavors: “Spices have risen in popularity in beverages over recent years due in part to the ongoing interest and exploration of ethnic cuisines across the United States,” says Flavorman. “Major distillers are also creating line extensions to add spice to their existing products such as spicy versions of rum, bourbon and whiskey.”
