The company has appointed Elcio Ito to the position of chief financial and investor relations officer. He takes over from global chief operating officer Lorival Luz, who was in the role in a temporary capacity.
Ito has more than 20 years of professional experience in finance, planning, and commodities, starting at Lloyds Bank before moving to General Motors for ten years.
He also spent seven years at BRF, serving in the treasury, financial planning, capital budgeting, market risk, and investor relations departments.
In 2017, he temporarily occupied the position of chief financial officer for six months and, in October of the same year, he took over as vice-president of integrated planning with responsibility over integrated planning, commodities, international logistics and market intelligence.
Meanwhile, Leonardo Dallorto has taken over as vice-president of integrated planning. An executive with 18 years’ experience, Dallorto started his career at ALL and, in 2002, he joined Vale at the Department of Port and Rail Logistics. From 2007 to 2011, he worked at McKinsey & Co and developed projects in supply chain, procurement, strategy, and M&A at different companies in several sectors within Latin America. Since 2011, he has served as a director at BRF, leading the departments of procurement, integrated planning, and logistics for the south region. Since March 2018, he has been serving as executive director of industrial operations.
On 1 October 2018, Rubens Pereira will take over the role of vice-president of strategy, management, and innovation. Pereira has previously served in consulting companies such as Booz-Allen & Hamilton and Boston Consulting Group. He leaves the position of global director of strategy and innovation for the vegetable oil business at Cargill, a company that he has been working for since 2004, occupying several executive positions.
