Taking place 27-29 August at Anhembi Parque in São Paulo, the panel will focus on the ‘Production of chickens and pigs without the use of performance enhancers’.
It will address the influence of pre- and probiotics on immune reaction and health the use of organic and phytogenic acids in the production and cost-effectiveness of the production of chickens without antibiotics.
"Today there is a trend in many countries around the world to ban the use of antibiotics as performance enhancers. This SIAVS panel will be an opportunity for technicians and producers to learn about alternatives to the issues of this production model,” said Ariel Mendes, director of SIAVS programming.
Also participating in the panel will be the technical director of PIC-USA, José Henrique Piva, the consultant in animal pathology and animal disease control programs, Edson Bordin and the representative of the Vibra Group, Irton José Boni.
SIAVS is the highlight of the Brazilian poultry and swine calendar, and is organized by the Brazilian Association of Animal Proteins (ABPA). In 2018, it attracted more than 15,000 visitors from 51 countries while around 1,700 congress participants were present.
About 150 companies exhibited their products and solutions at the largest fair of poultry and swine breeding in Brazil. In all, 31 poultry, egg and pig exporting agro-industries participated in the event, holding meetings with importers, domestic market buyers and suppliers.
