China increases number of approved Argentine meat plants

In the space of seven days, the Customs of the People’s Republic of China approved eight beef plants and seven poultry plants for export.

Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Luis Miguel Etchevehere said he expected more to be added. “We are working so that a greater number of meat plants are added very soon, which means boosting the labor and labor of Argentina,” he said. “The achievements that we have been obtaining with China realize that cooperation in agribusiness has a key role in this alliance between the two countries.”

Etchevehere said that “with each plant that is enabled for the Chinese market there will be more labor  and that it is a new opportunity for producers and for the entire poultry chain”.

Earlier this month, Etchevehere predicted that Argentina would export 720,000 tons of meat as well as reopen more markets in 2019.
