Most new food and beverage products fail. However, some CPG brands appear to be hitting the right note with consumers, according to Product of the Year's 2020 results.
Across each of the food and beverage categories measured, ALDI, Walgreens private label line, Nice!, and big food names including Mondelēz and Del Monte came out on top.
In order to be considered in the running for 'Product of the Year', brands had to submit their products to the organization. Eligible products needed to be launched after January 1, 2018, have national distribution, and demonstrate a meaningful level of product and/or packaging innovation.
