ADM expands global alliance with Nutraceutix

processor, has extended its international alliance with
Nutraceutix, a manufacturer of controlled delivery technology for
the pharmaceutical industry.

Archer Daniels Midland, the giant US agricultural products processor, has extended its international alliance with Nutraceutix, a manufacturer of controlled delivery technology for the pharmaceutical industry.

Under the terms of the deal, ADM​ will use Nutraceutix​' technology on an exclusive global basis to develop and market dietary supplements.

The first product to be by ADM using the new technology will be Novasoy Daily Dose, a once-a-day supplement of natural-based soy isoflavones designed to help women combat menopause.

"Nutraceutix' CDT technology allows us to tailor the biological delivery of dietary supplements to maximise its health benefits and, in most cases, better simulate the natural function of the human body. We expect to see applications in an entire range of dietary supplements,"​ said Tony DeLio, ADM's vice president of marketing and external affairs. "This represents a significant advancement in supplement technology and demonstrates ADM's continued commitment to bringing innovation and science to supplements and functional foods."

According to David T. Howard, CEO of Nutraceutix: "The Nutraceutix and ADM alliance marries ADM's expertise in the natural nutraceutical market with Nutraceutix' patented CDT to develop better performing dietary supplements. ADM's global reach allows us to make these products available worldwide."

ADM's Natural Health and Nutrition unit manufactures scientifically proven ingredients from natural sources that promote health and well being. Its products include Novasoy isoflavones, vitamin E, CardioAid products, NutriSoy soy protein, Soy7 products and other soy foods.
