Danisco Animal Nutrition has launched DuPont Enviva PRO, a three-strain Bacillus broiler probiotic, to the European market.

It is hoped that by incorporating DuPont’s direct-fed microbial (DFM) into the diet, broiler producers in the EU will be better positioned to protect their birds against diverse health challenges.

The three unique Bacillus strains of Enviva PRO provide broader coverage against diverse health challenges than other products currently on the market,” said Dawn Overby, global segment manager at DuPont Industrial Biosciences. “Through extensive research and commercial experience in other countries, including the US, Enviva PRO has a strong track record of proven efficacy. I am confident that this new probiotic will change the way broiler producers in Europe care for their birds.”

‘Probiotic can quicken immune development’

The probiotic has already been rolled out in the US and Africa.

Over the past few years, we’ve found Enviva PRO to be highly beneficial for broiler producers, from the US to South Africa,” Overby added. “With our launch in Europe, we look forward to being able to serve a broader market and assist European broiler producers with their operations.”

DuPont said Enviva PRO had the capacity to benefit the European broiler market by providing “efficacy, protection against diverse health challenges, accelerated immune development and delivering higher ROI”.

DuPont Animal Nutrition is a business unit of DuPont Industrial Biosciences.
